Niykee, who has had many a hectic few years which included being selected by Snoop to sing with him on The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule despite this. At present, she is a magnet to aspiring artists, she is constantly looking over beats that are sent to her and finds that many are able to spark song ideas. She says that she can determine if the beat is good in just five minutes. Then, a new track will come into her mind. My guitar is on the back porch and I just let my words flow. Most of the time, it's done in less than 30 minutes. While she develops as a musician, Niykee says that her pain from the history is an unending source of unimaginable sources of inspiration. "Even even if I'm not writing about my life directly the grief of losing my sister and my painful childhood experiences are integrated into my music," she says. My music is shaped by it and I am able to see the bigger picture beneath every single thing. This is one of the things that is most important to me.
