The shadows she saw on the lawn inspired her to develop the technique that, however, did not paint the chosen object on canvas. If the object is alive or perishable, such as fruit and even people and other objects, they are transformed into paintings of them. Alexa's style of painting exhibits a hazy quality the only thing left of Alexa Meade is her photograph. Painting and photography are closely connected to form a flat two-dimensional surface that is trompe l'oeil. At certain locations, the three-dimensional space can be visible, like near the eye or the hair. Meade has also integrated her models painted by Meade into the 3-dimensional space around the models. Their interaction and this created world can be achieved. The distinctions between performance photography, installation and painting can be dissolved.
