Dua Lipa, an English artist and singer was born in London, on 22 August 1995. In 2014, after working as an actor and model, she signed with Warner Bros Records. She made her self-titled debut album in 2017. It peaked at number third on the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be The One I.D.G.A.F as well as her U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at number sixth in the United States. Lipa received the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. Her album is certified platinum in a number of countries. Dua Lipa was born London on the 22nd August in 1995 to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Her mother is Bosnian. The ancestors of her can be traced all the way back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. The two grandparents of Lipa are historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa, and has a younger brother named Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father the guitarist and lead singer of Oda, the Kosovan rock group Oda. She grew up listening to music with her dad in the family, which included songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing at the age of the age of five.
